An only just April (05), shower gave this rainbow.
In one or two of the pictures I took of this rainbow you could see raindrops falling. While driving out of Abergele (a local town) last year. I saw the strongest rainbow I have ever seen. The outer arc was as strong as the inner arc seen here and both arcs where complete. It simply burned with beauty. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me so I was unable to record it except in my head. I was also driving at the time. A couple of pictures from a trip to Betws Y Coed.
A little further on we found a dead sheep hanging from a tree. How did it get there? Had it been depressed? Patterns are everywhere.
Each curve sings of the unity of universal law and the variety of it's application. When you're as easily pleased as I am, walks on the beach are a delight. During a trip out for a walk in the Conwy valley I took a sequence of pictures that I stitched together afterwards. ...a cloudy Snowdon near the top... I went up there a while ago with a friend called Bernie. he brought his son Oliver along: ...here is a picture from the same trip of Bernie and myself going down Snowdon after an embarrassingly slow ascent of the easiest route (I was really slow). My first walk up Snowdon with a couple of lads from my old work place (Palmer Research). Now both work elsewhere, as do I. The picture was taken at the very top. I give you Anwar (now a teacher) and Steve (Lorry Driver I think).
...and a nice sunny view from Tryfan. I didn't jump between the two rocks at the top. I was knackered and I'm not fond of heights. I have only been up Tryfan once as my knee joint gets very painful if I stress it over a long period of time. Especially going down hill. So uphill is OK but downhill is bad. Unfortunately you can't often do one without the other.
A place of rugged beauty and relatively high population.
Especially at the top. Must be a camp for 'transients'.
I had a great time and especially with lots of scrambling, If my knee was 100% I'd be up there a lot more often. Although I was very careful on some bits. It was thrilling. Having said that I don't think there is any mountain goat in my ancestry. Some sort of poppy or an alien seed pod? I don't know. The view from a speeding Ferarri. Apparently the speed of light is absolute but time and space are relative.
Against my own better judgment I went up Snowdon in August 2005 and made it up in ~1h 50 minutes. My knee ended up hurting quite a bit. Here are a couple of pictures of scenes common to Snowdon.
When I came down I was sunburnt about the forehead area. Which explained why everyone was 'smiling' when they saw me.
